  Full Description

Well-known authors and rising stars come together in this one-of-a-kind story collection, featuring first person true accounts of Divine Providence, kindness, heroism and tradition — a symphony of Jewish voices that will uplift you and touch your soul.

  • A Jewish child in Romania discovers the ugly face of success.
  • A wildflower garden causes an urban neighborhood to spring to life.
  • A partisan in World War II arranges an unlikely Megillah reading.
  • A mother reflects on her son’s time in prison.
  • An Israeli police officer pays a terrible price for his commitment.
  • And much more ...
Every day of our lives, we write our own personal stories. Our stories speak about what we stand for and the values we treasure -- kindness and love, self-sacrifice, courage and commitment. Our stories reveal Hashem’s love for us, his involvement in every facet of our lives. Our stories have the ability to open our own eyes and the eyes of those around us to the eternal truths of life, to recognizing what’s really important.

The authors in this book -- some familiar, some new -- have come together to share their stories of hope and inspiration. They reveal the greatness in seemingly ordinary people and the extraordinary qualities that exist in us all. Their messages will uplift you and touch your heart.

This collection is filled with stories of courage, kindness, faith and Divine Providence. They reveal the Jewish people in all their glory ... and they are all true.

About the editor/anthologizer Rosally Saltsman is originally from Montreal, Canada, and has been privileged to live in Israel for the better part of a quarter-century. She lives in Petach Tikvah with her wonderful son Josh (Yehoshua Yisrael, neiro ya’ir), who is her chief inspiration and graciously gives her permission to write about him. She is the author of Finding the Right Words (Targum), Parenting by the Book (Targum), A Portion of Kindness (Melech) and Soul Journey (Melech), as well as a little-known book called The Illustrated Oleh Chadash Guide for the Perplexed (Eked). She writes articles for many magazines and web sites. Some of her work can be seen on her web site: http://www.shemayisrael.com/publicat/rosallysaltsman/. She has also recently completed her first music CD, Like a Rose among the Thorns. This book is Rosally’s first anthology. It reunites many dear people from her past and brings together new friends.
